Cascading Menus can be described as drop down boxes that change do to a selection in a previous drop down box. MenuGen customizes the javascript code written for cascading menus by Alan King and company at webreference.com, which is tried and true code that has been tested across platform and browser (at least according to them!).

This JavaScript navigation menu sends users to other Web page/site upon link selection change. It works by using the onChange function of the SELECT object to tell the window to load a new document. The URLs of the documents to jump to are given by the VALUE of the various OPTION tags contained in the SELECT.

This is your straightforward drop down menu, except in IE5+ and NS6+, a description of each selection is displayed beneath it. Very nice addition to a popular application wouldn't you say? Script updated to support options opening in a new window (IE5/NS6+ only), and ability to include multiple menus on the same page.

This robust combo (drop down menu) can handle the workload of many! It allows you to select from multiple groups of link items to display- choose which group to actually show by clicking on text beneath the combo. If your page contains more than one combo, why not replace them all with just this one?

This combo box menu never leaves the user's screen as it appears always in view (in IE7+, Opera 8+ and Firefox that is). Legacy browsers such as IE5 and IE6 will simply not see the menu at all. You can specify the location of the menu relative to the four edges of the window: "top left", "top right", "bottom left" or "bottom right".
