This script captures the IP address of the person filling in your form and submits it to you as part of the form. The IP address is displayed in a text box which the user cannot edit. The script works by taking the #echo var="REMOTE_ADDR" from SSI and using JavaScript to place it in the text box. Although it is possible to do it with JavaScript alone, this only works with Netscape and as far as I can tell, using SSI is the only cross browser way of doing it. You will need a web server capable of running SSI (most web servers do this by default).

(Netscape only, and Java must be enabled) Whether it's ethical or not, getting information on your site's visitors is just plain neat. As one of the most requested scripts, this little gem will allow you to get the user's IP address! Neat!

This is a DHTML redirect script that sends your visitors to four different pages, depending on whether she is using NS 4, NS6+, IE 4+, or none of the above. It's a fool-proof way to ensure that only the intended browser gets to see and run a browser-specific DHTML script.

Use this script to display a table with all the plugins installed on the visitor's computer. Another neat script because it deals with the user's computer specifics directly.
