This JavaScript launches a rapidly expanding window that moves down and across the screen until it fills the entire screen area (IE) in fullscreen mode. The script then loads your content page into the fullscreen view. Neat effect.

There are situations where it is desirable to pop up some additional information, such as information about page author, a sitemap or an auxiliary menu. But usual popup windows are not up to the task anymore. They might be blocked by browsers and generally are an annoyance to the user.

The onMouseOver and onMouseOut attributes can perform a number of slick looking effects including opening and closing a new window. When a person places their mouse over the link a new window will open up on top of the current browser window. When the mouse pointer is moved off the link the window will close automatically. All the script for the new window is contained in the previous page, so it loads rather quickly (as opposed to opening a new page from the server). Used sparingly this can be a useful tool to explain in detail the link someone is about to click or provide a preview of an image.

Launches a frameless (containerless) "go-behind" popup banner window that cannot be closed unless the banner ad is clicked on. (A no-right-click feature is included in the popup.) The frameless banner window persists, even if the launching browser window is closed. The banner window closes once the banner is clicked.
